El Dorado Countywide Plenary for Water
Supports all RMS
EDWA hosts bi-annual Plenary sessions in the spring and the fall for thought leaders from water and energy utilities, federal, state, local, and Tribal governments, watershed managers, business groups, and community organizations to collaborate on modernizing water resource management in the county. Panel and breakout discussions focus on building community resilience and the nexus among drought, wildfire, water supply and watershed management challenges throughout the county. The Charter for Countywide Water Plenary(PDF, 283KB) guides the Plenary scope and activities.

Local, State, and Regional Engagement
Supports all RMS
EDWA collaborates with partners at levels of government to ensure El Dorado County is included in water policy and funding decisions. We are a leading voice at the local level and engage in state advocacy efforts to advance El Dorado County's priority water-related issues. We also work with lobbyists in Washington D.C. and regularly travel to Capitol Hill to engage in meetings with federal policymakers.
