An El Dorado County native, Brooke currently serves as Supervisor for District V (District 5) on the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors. Understanding the unique character and needs of each community in District V, she established a District V Advisory Council with representation from all 11 communities: Tahoma, Meeks Bay, Fallen Leaf, City of South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, Phillips, Strawberry, Twin Bridges, Kyburz, Whitehall, and Pollock Pines. This council ensures every community has a voice in county decisions.
Brooke graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Economics and, along with her husband, raised their two sons in the community while building a successful photography business. She owned and operated her photography business for many years before advancing into bank management, where she built upon her Economics background and business ownership experience to further develop her financial expertise and strengthen her leadership capabilities. Her photography business motto remains her guiding principle: Stay Focused • Get Results.
Prior to joining the Board of Supervisors, Brooke served the City of South Lake Tahoe as City Council member and Mayor. In these roles, she worked closely with residents and regional agencies to address local needs and build collaborative solutions throughout the Tahoe Basin.
Her commitment to making El Dorado County a purposeful place to live, work, and play is reflected in her extensive board service, which includes the California Tahoe Conservancy, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, Tahoe Transportation District, South Lake Tahoe Basin Waste Management Authority, South Lake Tahoe Redevelopment Successor Agency, California State Association of Counties, South Lake Tahoe Recreation Facilities JPA, South Tahoe Transit JPA, and the El Dorado Countywide Oversight Board.
Brooke has dedicated decades to volunteer service, continuing a family tradition of community engagement. She currently serves with Soroptimist International (SISLT) with a particular passion for supporting girls' sports programs.
Her vision for El Dorado County centers on collaborative problem-solving and meaningful solutions. Through her combined experience as a small business owner, bank manager, and elected official serving on numerous boards, she has developed strong skills in listening, negotiation, and compromise—resolving complex issues while consistently delivering results for the community. Whether serving in business, public office, or volunteer leadership, her commitment remains unwavering: Stay Focused • Get Results.
