EL DORADO TRAIL BIKE/PEDESTRIAN OVERCROSSING PROJECT CONSTRUCTION AND TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE EL DORADO TRAIL AT MISSOURI FLAT ROAD

(PLACERVILLE, CA) – Construction continues on a pedestrian overcrossing structure along the El Dorado Trail at Missouri Flat Road which will require occasional shoulder work in both directions of Missouri Flat Road and a continuous closure of the El Dorado Trail segments connecting with Missouri Flat Road, including the trail parking lot adjacent to Sierra Door & Supply over the next several months.
The trail parking lot will be removed completely. A new larger trail parking lot will be constructed as part of the Diamond Springs Parkway Phase 1B project, which is anticipated to begin this year.
The trail closure is anticipated to continue until May 30, 2025. Trail users are advised to avoid the Missouri Flat Road location and enjoy other segments of the El Dorado Trail during construction.
