(PLACERVILLE, CA) – El Dorado County’s Surveyor has updated the County’s long‑standing GOTNET site with a modern replacement, now available as the EDC GIS Viewer. Through this updated viewer, users can search for property information by address or APN and access key parcel‑related details. The legacy GOTNET system will be decommissioned and no longer available after March 31, 2026, and users are encouraged to transition to the new viewer as soon as possible.
In addition to the updated viewer, the Surveyor’s office has launched a new online resource that connects users to essential resources, including the County’s Open Data catalog, which provides free access to authoritative GIS datasets. Through the catalog, users can explore, preview, and download data in multiple formats, enabling efficient use in mapping software, analysis tools, and online applications. This ensures that residents, professionals, and County staff have reliable, current information at their fingertips.

“These tools give the community faster, clearer access to essential geographic information. By modernizing our systems, we’re making it easier for residents, businesses, and County staff to find the data they need to make informed decisions,” said Jennifer Carlton, Senior GIS Analyst.
