ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION BEGINS ON
OAK RIDGE HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT AND DRIVEWAYS
IN EL DORADO HILLS

(PLACERVILLE, CA) – El Dorado Union High School District, in conjunction with the Department of Transportation, begins construction on a School District Project (Project) on Silva Valley Parkway and the Oak Ridge High School parking lot (near the football field) during the week of May 13, 2024. This Project includes constructing a new driveway access for the parking lot at Silva Valley Parkway and will require traffic control and shoulder closures, including sidewalk closures, along Silva Valley Parkway between Harvard Way and the football field. Motorists and students should anticipate construction delays and intermittent lane closures in each direction on Silva Valley Parkway after the Harvard Way intersection, sidewalk closures, and reduction of parking within the area of this Project.

PG&E is planning to begin work to accommodate the Project’s on campus and intersection signalization improvements at the Harvard Way and Clermont Way intersection beginning the week of May 20, 2024. This work is planned to be coordinated outside of the school peak hours as much as possible to minimize traffic delays. Motorists and students should anticipate lane and shoulder closures, including sidewalk closures and pedestrian detours near Harvard Way and Clermont Way. Traffic control for lane and shoulder closures will also be occurring outside school peak (AM/PM) hours whenever possible.

Roadway and on campus improvements at Harvard Way and Clermont Way are planned to begin later in May 2024 outside/around school hours as much as possible to minimize potential traffic, parking, and student impacts. Motorists and pedestrians are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work zone, and through the Oak Ridge High School parking lot, to arrive at their destinations on time.
