The Treasurer-Tax Collector, Sean Coppola, is urging property owners to pay their second secured property tax bill on or before April 10th to avoid delinquency fines.
“My office has established multiple ways for property owners in El Dorado County to make it as convenient as possible to make their payments,” said Coppola. “Payments can be made online, through the mail, at payment bins located outside the front of the office building, or in front of or in the office,” he said.
The bins, located at 360 Fair Lane in Placerville, are open for payments Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. Coppola noted that the third-party payment processing vendor charges an administrative processing fee for online payments.
Coppola recommends making payments now if utilizing the e-check option or paying through your bank’s online bill payment system to ensure they are received before the delinquent date, since the law requires penalties be applied to all payments received after April 10, 2026.
