EL DORADO COUNTY RECOGNIZED FOR WILDFIRE PLANNING AND PREPAREDNESS

(PLACERVILLE, CA)— El Dorado County has been recognized by the California State Board of Forestry and Fire Protection as a Fire Risk Reduction Community, reaffirming the County’s long-term commitment to building wildfire resilient communities. El Dorado is one of only six counties to earn the designation for a second consecutive cycle.

TEMPORARY BRADLEY DRIVE DETOUR

Segments of Bradley Drive and Throwita Way will be temporarily closed beginning July 16, 2026 as part of the County’s Diamond Springs Parkway Project. Access to the Material Recovery Facility will be through the new route between Highway 49 and Throwita Way shown in blue on the map below. Access to Truck Street will only be available from Highway 49 during this time.

Temporary Detour, Traffic Control for Southbound Silva Valley

El Dorado County’s Department of Transportation will implement a closure of southbound Silva Valley Parkway between Clarksville Rd and Tong Road to allow for the installation of water and sewer lines under the roadway starting Monday, June 8th, 2026.
