Prevention - SUDS

Mission Statement

To provide youth and families in El Dorado County with comprehensive, evidence based and culturally competent drug and alcohol prevention activities through leadership, education, resources and the promotion of healthy lifestyles to create a future of wellness.

Our Beliefs

  • We believe in empowering youth to create positive changes in their communities.
  • We believe in supporting the power of community coalitions to establish and implement effective prevention programs to serve their unique needs.
  • We believe that community and school based prevention programs increase resilience and improve outcomes for our youth.

Prevention of Substance Use is accomplished in El Dorado County thru a number of different strategies, Peer Council, Friday Night Live/Club Live, PAL, community partnering and education.
