The Placerville office will be open during normal operating hours on December 24th, 2025. Both the Placerville office and South Lake Tahoe office will be closed on December 25th through the 26th and January 1st.

The South Lake Tahoe office will not be staffed full time from December 24th through January 2nd. There will be date stamped submission boxes available for applicants to drop off documents & plans at the counter. Planning & Building staff will be available in the office if applicants need immediate assistance.

2025 Building Codes Effective January 1, 2026
Starting January 1, 2026, all new plan review and permit applications in El Dorado County must comply with the 2025 California Building Standards Code.
