Open Solicitations
The County of El Dorado, Procurement and Contracts, is using a web-based procurement system hosted by PlanetBids (PB) for formal and informal solicitations that do not involve public works construction. The PB system is provided at no cost to all interested vendors. PB allows interested suppliers, contractors, and service providers to register online and to receive email notifications of solicitations for goods and services pertinent to their business. Procurement opportunities will allow vendors to download bid and contract documents, receive addenda, ask questions and get answers, and view bid results.
Both formal and informal solicitations will be processed through this system. All responses are due by the time indicated on each solicitation and late responses will not be accepted. It is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure that the most complete and current version of the solicitation, including addenda, has been obtained.
Please note: Vendors are responsible for registering and maintaining up to date and accurate business profile information in the PB system. Since this is an automated notification system, if your email address is invalid or inoperable, you will not receive solicitation notifications. We strongly recommend that vendors provide two email contact addresses in the spaces provided when registering their businesses, in order to minimize the chance of missing the automated email notifications. Vendors may edit their profile information at any time.
We have made every effort to make all aspects of the contracting process as easy, secure, and reliable as possible; however, if you need help or have questions concerning the features available to our vendors on this section, please click Help within the PB system for online assistance. Vendors are responsible for contacting PlanetBids directly for technical assistance.
Open solicitations are listed below or through either QuestCDN or PlanetBids.
When responding to one of the open solicitations, if required, print the documents and complete all required information using either pen or word processing software. Any responses that are not complete or where correction tape or fluid has been used will be rejected. Instructions for returning the submittals are located within each solicitation.
If you have any questions call our office at (530) 621-5830.
