Search the "El Dorado County Official Records Index"

For Instructions on how to place copy orders, please read the directions below.

Searching

There are several ways to search the index. The most common is "By Name". When searching by name, be sure to put the "last name" space (no comma) then "first name". You can also search by Document Number or Book & Page. If you are looking for a record after 2013, you may verify you have the right property by comparing the Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) listed under the "Additional Information" section.

How to place copy orders 

Currently our system will only allow you to view the index. If you would like to purchase a copy of a document, please see the instructions below:

  1. If you are at the initial index page, click on the shopping cart with the plus sign in the basket OR select purchase on the right hand side if you are on the full document index page
  2. Click on "Add to Cart" and keep researching OR "Proceed to Checkout"
  3. After clicking "Proceed to Checkout", fill out the "Customer Information" and click "Place your Order". Your order will be maintained in our system for 30 days.

When you are ready, you can come by our Placerville office to purchase and pickup your documents. If you are in the South Lake Tahoe area, make an appointment here.

If you would like to obtain your copies electronically, you will need to fill out this Credit Card Authorization Form(PDF, 115KB) and email it back to us at recorderclerk@edcgov.us. Please note that our credit card vendor charges $2.50 for processing.
