Fee Changes & Payment Information
As of July 1, 2025, our fees have changed, the new fees are listed below. Applications will not be accepted without the required fees. There are no fees required for Alpine County registrations.
We can now accept online payments through Point & Pay. Please double check the fees listed below before submitting a payment. Point & Pay does charge the following processing fees:
- E-Checks: $0.75 per payment transaction
- Credit Card: 2.20% of the payment amount, with a minimum Service Fee of $2.00 per payment transaction
Annual Registrations for El Dorado County
Note: No fees collected for registrations in Alpine County

Fee: $85.00 due on application. Additional time and materials cost will be charged at time of issuance if applicable. Initial fee covers the 1 hour minimum of licensed staff time.
