Fallen Leaf Road Pavement Rehabilitation

Project Summary

The proposed project will complete both roadway improvements along a 2-mile segment of Fallen Leaf Road from SR89 to Tahoe Mountain Road and an extension of the bike path from the Fallen Leaf Lake Campground to Tahoe Mountain Road. The road is currently narrow with unimproved turnouts with the overall current pavement surface in poor condition. The road currently can be a deterrent for combined bike, ped, and vehicular users of the Fallen Leaf Road to access Federal lands.
