​CalRecycle Rubberized Pavement Grant Program

In February 2024, Department of Transportation, Maintenance and Operations was awarded and funded a fourth Rubberized Pavement Grant for Rubberized Chip Seal through the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle). 

Between July 2024 and October 2024, Maintenance and Operations performed multiple rounds of Rubberized Chip Seal under this grant on Sly Park Road in Pollock Pines, on Snows Road in Camino, on Echo Lane and El Dorado Road in Placerville and on Slamon Falls in Pilot Hill. Total, the projects diverted 25,000 waste tires from the waste stream.
