Wildfire Mitigation Plan
SMUD created a Wildfire Mitigation Plan to minimize the risk of catastrophic wildfire posed by electrical lines and equipment.

Forest Management

Right-of-Way Reinforcement Program
El Dorado Irrigation District is working to improve protection and maintenance of their key water supply arteries. EID has established a new three-person crew dedicated to addressing the current vegetation conditions and restoring a regular maintenance program for these lines going forward. This dedicated crew will be working to maintain the vegetation growing within the rights-of-way that will help maintain access to this important water infrastructure.
