Vegetation Management Program

PG&E works throughout El Dorado County completing vegetation treatments around its powerlines to reduce the threat of wildfire. Their efforts include pruning trees, removing dead or dying ones, and preparing for the installation of stronger equipment while ensuring safety in fire-prone areas. Right-of-Way Reinforcement Program

El Dorado Irrigation District is working to improve protection and maintenance of their key water supply arteries. EID has established a new three-person crew dedicated to addressing the current vegetation conditions and restoring a regular maintenance program for these lines going forward. This dedicated crew will be working to maintain the vegetation growing within the rights-of-way that will help maintain access to this important water infrastructure.
