El Dorado Hills Digital Signs Amendments

On January 6, 2026, the Board of Supervisors (Board) directed staff to begin focused Zoning Ordinance amendments addressing digital signs in major shopping destinations on the County's West Slope, such as those in the El Dorado Hills community.  Click here for meeting details, including project background and a copy of the Board's Resolution of Intention explaining the scope of the Board's requested ordinance revisions and authorizing this Zoning Ordinance update. 

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, the County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the Planning Commission Hearing Room, 2850 Fairlane Court in Building C, Placerville CA 95667, at 9:00 a.m., to consider a recommendation for amending Sections 130.36.070.H and 130.36.090B.2 of the Zoning Ordinance to allow limited use of digital freestanding and directory signs in the El Dorado Hills Community Region. Planning Commission hearing materials, including the draft Zoning Ordinance amendments, will be posted online two weeks prior to the hearing at the County's Legistar calendar system
