Victim restitution is court-ordered money to cover a victim's financial losses from a crime. The goal of victim restitution is to help victims get back to where they were financially before the time of the incident. We want our community members to get back what they deserve.

Eligibility Requirements for Restitution

  1. The applicant is a victim of a crime occurring in El Dorado County.
  2. Victim Restitution was ordered and has not been fully paid.
  3. The defendant’s probation term ended prior to January 1, 2013.
  4. No other collection efforts are currently in progress.
  5. The victim has submitted a completed, signed application to Revenue Recovery.
