Treasury and Investment Management

The El Dorado County Treasurer is responsible for safeguarding and managing the County's pooled investments on behalf of County departments, school districts, and special districts. This role ensures public funds are invested with the highest priority on safety and liquidity while also achieving prudent and responsible returns. As the steward of these public resources, the Treasurer oversees daily cash management, investment strategy, and compliance with State laws and County policies to protect taxpayer dollars and support essential public services.
