Cameron Park Community Design Standards

Starting in May 2025, the County began working with community members to create permanent design standards for new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the County's Community Regions (Shingle Springs, El Dorado/Diamond Springs, Cameron Park, and El Dorado Hills). In October 2025, the County held a community kickoff meeting for the Cameron Park design standards, followed by a stakeholder tour of existing commercial and multifamily developments to gather community feedback.
In March 2026, the County released the first (administrative) draft of the Cameron Park Design Standards and Guidelines (CP DSG) and held community workshops in March and April to receive feedback on the draft document. For details, see the "Community Workshops" tab below.
Share your thoughts! From June 12 to July 13, 2026, a revised administrative draft CP DSG—updated based on feedback from the community workshops—will be available for a 30-day public comment period to collect additional community input.
