Cameron Park Community Design Standards

Cameron Park Lake Painting

Starting in May 2025, the County began working with community members to create permanent design standards for new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the County's Community Regions (Shingle Springs, El Dorado/Diamond Springs, Cameron Park, and El Dorado Hills).  In October 2025, the County held a community kickoff meeting for the Cameron Park design standards, followed by a stakeholder tour of existing commercial and multifamily developments to gather community feedback.

On Monday, October 27, 2025, the County presented an overview of the Cameron Park Community Design Standards project at the Cameron Park Design Review Committee meeting and discussed upcoming opportunities for community participation in this important effort.

On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, the County held a community workshop to receive feedback on the Administrative Draft of the Cameron Park Design Standards and Guidelines (CP DSG).

On Monday, April 13, 2026, the County held a second community workshop, in open house format, to answer questions and receive additional feedback on the draft standards.

Hold the Date!

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider a recommendation for adoption of the Cameron Park Design Standards and Guidelines (CP DSG). Public hearing materials (including the draft CP DSG) and participation instructions can be found on the County's Legistar calendar system
