Cameron Park Community Design Standards

Starting in May 2025, the County began working with community members to create permanent design standards for new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the County's Community Regions (Shingle Springs, El Dorado/Diamond Springs, Cameron Park, and El Dorado Hills). Work on the Cameron Park design standards began in October 2025.

In March and April 2026, the County held community workshops to receive feedback on the Administrative Draft Cameron Park DSG. For details, see the "Community Workshops" tab below. Feedback from both workshops will be incorporated into a Revised Administrative Draft which will be released for a 30-day public review period, anticipated in early May, 2026. This page will be updated when the revised document is released - Check back for updates!
Community Workshops
On Monday, October 27, 2025, the County presented an overview of the Cameron Park Community Design Standards project at the Cameron Park Design Review Committee meeting and discussed upcoming opportunities for community participation in this important effort. On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, The County held a community workshop to receive feedback on the Administrative Draft of the Cameron Park Design Standards and Guidelines (CP DSG). Click here(PDF, 1MB) for a copy of staff's workshop presentation.
On Monday, April 13, 2026, the County held a second community workshop, in open house format, to answer questions and receive additional feedback on the draft standards. Meeting materials will be posted below as soon as they are available.
