El Dorado Hills Community Design Standards
Starting in May 2025, the County began working with community members to create permanent design standards for new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the County's Community Regions (Shingle Springs, El Dorado/Diamond Springs, Cameron Park, and El Dorado Hills).
On November 12, 2025, the El Dorado Hills Area Planning Advisory Committee (APAC) hosted a kickoff meeting for the El Dorado Hills community design standards project.
On May 6, 2026, County staff, design consultants and APAC members held an open house to receive community feedback on the draft EDH DSG.
On September 30, 2026, County staff and design consultants held a second open house to receive community feedback on an architectural style to incorporate into the EDH DSG.
Based on community and stakeholder feedback, the proposed EDH DSG are now available for public review. Click here(PDF, 4MB) to view and download a copy of the proposed standards.
