Shingle Springs Community Design Standards
The County is developing permanent design standards for the Shingle Springs Community Region, launched in May 2025.
Thank you to the Shingle Springs community for providing feedback on the draft Shingle Springs Design Standards and Guidelines (SSDSG) during the June and July 2025 workshops and the following 30-day comment period!
On Thursday, December 11, 2025, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to review the Public Hearing Draft SSDSG(PDF, 7MB), which incorporated previous community feedback, and make recommendations to the Board of Supervisors. The Commission recommended the Board approve the SSDSG as proposed with a few minor changes. The draft SSDSG and other hearing documents can be found on the County's Legistar calendar website:

On Tuesday, March 3, 2026, the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing for review and possible adoption of the SSDSG. Click here for a copy of the public hearing notice.

Community Workshops
On June 23, 2025, the County held a community workshop to collect input on an Administrative Draft of the Shingle Springs Community Design Standards, which included design standards for commercial, multifamily and mixed-use development in the Shingle Springs Community Region.
