El Dorado/Diamond Springs Community Design Standards

Starting in May 2025, the County began working with community members to create permanent design standards for new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the County's Community Regions (Shingle Springs, El Dorado/Diamond Springs, Cameron Park, and El Dorado Hills).
On August 21, 2025, the County held a kickoff meeting for the El Dorado & Diamond Springs Community region to introduce the project and share opportunities for public participation in this important effort.
On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the County released the first draft of the proposed El Dorado & Diamond Springs Standards and Guidelines and held a community workshop, hosted by the El Dorado and Diamond Springs Community Advisory Committee, to receive feedback on the draft document.
Share your thoughts! On Tuesday, February 24, 2026, the County will be holding a second community workshop to receive additional feedback on the draft standards. For details and how to participate, please see the "Community Workshops" tab below.
