Rural Center Mid-Foothill Design Zone

Starting in May 2026, the County began working with community members to create permanent design standards for new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the County's 29 Rural Centers, including Georgetown, Cool, Pleasant Valley, Camino, Pollock Pines and many others.

Hold the Date! On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, County staff will hold a kickoff meeting in the Community of Georgetown to launch new design standards for Mid-Foothill communities in the Georgetown Divide area, including the communities of Georgetown, Cool, Kelsey, Mosquito, Garden Valley and Greenwood.
