El Dorado Hills Community Design Standards

Starting in May 2025, the County began working with community members to create permanent design standards for new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the County's Community Regions (Shingle Springs, El Dorado/Diamond Springs, Cameron Park, and El Dorado Hills).

On November 12, 2025, the El Dorado Hills Area Planning Advisory Committee (APAC) hosted a kickoff meeting for the El Dorado Hills community design standards project.  At this meeting, County Long Range Planning staff provided a project overview and announced an opportunity for community members to participate in a Stakeholder Advisory Team (SAT) to assist staff and consultants with developing the new standards.  For details, please see the following links to staff's presentation(PDF, 2MB) and a copy of the SAT application form(PDF, 4MB) . 

Important Reminder:  For community members interested in participating in the SAT, applications are due by Friday, December 5, 2025.
