Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events

HHW Event

El Dorado County, Environmental Management conducts Household Hazardous Waste Collection for County residents.

It is with great regret that after 20+ years of operating the Household Hazardous Waste collection facility, located at El Dorado Hills Fire Department Station 86, has permanently closed. The agreement between the El Dorado Hills Fire Department and El Dorado County’s Environmental Management Department terminated on December 31, 2024, and was not renewed. It has been an honor to be able to serve the community from this facility all these years, and the Environmental Management Department will continue to serve the community with temporary HHW events while we search for a new permanent facility.
