Proactive Inspection Areas
Each year, El Dorado County, CAL FIRE, and local fire districts collaborate to identify proactive inspection areas as part of a coordinated wildfire mitigation effort. The areas listed below reflect this partnership, with the County and local fire districts designating County Emphasis Areas (CEAs) and CAL FIRE designating Defensible Space Inspection Areas (DSIAs) for inspection. The goal of these defensible space inspections are to provide homeowners with important information and guidance on meeting defensible space requirements and improving their home’s resilience to wildfire.
