Rural Center Mid-Foothill Design Zone

Starting in May 2026, the County began working with community members to create permanent design standards for new multifamily, mixed-use, and commercial projects in the County's 29 Rural Centers, including Georgetown, Cool-Pilot Hill, Pleasant Valley, Camino, Pollock Pines and many others.

On Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the County held a kickoff meeting in Georgetown to launch new design standards for the north County Mid-Foothill communities, including communities along the Georgetown Divide.

On Thursday, August 18, 2026, County staff held a second kickoff meeting in Cool to launch the design standards project for the Mid-Foothill communities along the Georgetown Divide.

On Thursday, August 27, 2026, the County held a third kickoff meeting in Somerset to launch the design standards project for the south County Mid-Foothill communities.
