What's New

Tuesday, October 27, 2026. The County is beginning to explore whether updates to the Zoning Ordinance could better support and clarify a growing interest in agricultural lodging, and whether the State's low impact camping program (AB 518) would be a good fit for our community.

Beginning October 27th, the County will be hosting a series of open houses to discuss agricultural lodging and low impact camping. All are welcome to come learn, ask questions, and share their thoughts. The first open house will be held in Garden Valley at the Garden Valley Fire Station No.51; doors will be open at 5:30pm and closing at 7:00pm. For more information, please click here(PDF, 4MB) to view the open house flyer or visit the Agricultural Lodging Webpage.

On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to consider a recommendation of adoption of the El Dorado & Diamond Springs Design Standards and Guidelines (EDDS DSG).
