7/14/2026 - Pioneer Park will be closed for parking lot maintenance July 25-26 and August 1-2. The park will remain open weekdays during the temporary closure.
6/19/2026 - We are moving! Parks Division will no longer be located at 200 Armory Road starting June 23, 2026. We will be moving to the El Dorado County Facilities Maintenance building at 3000 Fairlane Court, Suite 3. Please contact the Parks office at 530-621-5360 or parks@edcgov.us to make an appointment if you need in-person assistance while we transition to our new office.
5/4/2026 - El Dorado County's Forebay Park Improvement Project was selected as one of 18 local park recommended projects to be funded by the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant program to improve outdoor recreation for communities across California. Visit the Upcoming Projects page for more information on the Forebay Park Improvement Project. Check out the State Parks press release announcing the LWCF recommended grant funding.

2/9/2026 - CAL FIRE Amador–El Dorado Unit (AEU), in partnership with the County of El Dorado and Friends of the El Dorado Trail, is working to improve safety, accessibility, and wildfire resilience along the unpaved section of the El Dorado Trail. 12/1/2025 - Henningsen Lotus Park 2026 Annual Parking Passes are now available for purchase and will be valid until December 31, 2026.
10/30/2025 - Please see the updated Parks Division Fee Schedule(PDF, 440KB) effective December 1, 2025.
9/3/2025 - Old Depot Road will be realigned as part of the Diamond Springs Parkway Project. Temporary detour in place starting September 4, 2025. Please see the following News Release(PDF, 683KB) for more information.
