5/4/2026 - El Dorado County's Forebay Park Improvement Project was selected as one of 18 local park recommended projects to be funded by the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) grant program to improve outdoor recreation for communities across California. 2/9/2026 - CAL FIRE Amador–El Dorado Unit (AEU), in partnership with the County of El Dorado and Friends of the El Dorado Trail, is working to improve safety, accessibility, and wildfire resilience along the unpaved section of the El Dorado Trail. 12/1/2025 - Henningsen Lotus Park 2026 Annual Parking Passes are now available for purchase and will be valid until December 31, 2026.
