Mental Health Services Act (MHSA)
Proposition 63 (known as the Mental Health Services Act or MHSA)(PDF, 384KB) was passed by California voters in November 2004. The law provided the first opportunity in many years for the State of California to increase funding, personnel and other resources to support county mental health programs and monitor progress toward statewide goals for children, transition age youth, adults, older adults and families. The El Dorado County MHSA Project Team frequently posts information, program planning documents, and meeting announcements on our website. Community Meetings & Surveys
Community Program Planning Process (CPPP) for the FY 2024/25 Annual Update has concluded. CPPP for FY 25/26 Annual Update is anticipated July through September 2024.
Public Hearing
The El Dorado County Behavioral Health Commission conducted a public hearing to review the Draft FY 2024-2025 MHSA Annual Update on February 21, 2024.
MHSA Plan Final Approval
The Draft MHSA Annual Update was presented before the Board of Supervisors at their regular meeting on April 23, 2024.
Final approval of the MHSA Annual Update by the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors is tentatively scheduled for June 2024.
