Text "Hello" to 741741
Text "Hello" to 741741 from anywhere in the United States, anytime. Crisis Text Line is here for any crisis. A live, trained Crisis Counselor receives the text and responds, all from their secure online platform. The first two responses are automated. They tell you that you’re being connected with a Crisis Counselor and invite you to share a bit more. The Crisis Counselor is a trained volunteer, not a professional. They can provide support, but not medical advice.
Veterans, Service Members, and their Families
Veterans, Service Members, and their family and friends can call 988 and Press 1, or chat online at www.VeteransCrisisLine.net. Please be aware that when a person contacts the Veterans Crisis Line, the recording on the answering system is that you have reached the National Suicide Hotline, also supporter of the Veterans Crisis Line. Text messages can be sent to 838255 to reach a trained USDVA responder for support and referrals.
