Maternal, Child, & Adolescent Health & CA Home Visiting Programs

Our Public Health home visiting programs are designed to help new moms adjust to having a new baby at home. Registered nurses and home visitors provide a variety of services from wellness to breastfeeding consultations, case management, local resources and more.

Community Breastfeeding Coalition of El Dorado County

The Breastfeeding Coalition of El Dorado County is a nonprofit entity providing education, professional and peer support, and access to breastfeeding aids like electric pumps. For more information, please call Jess Cullen at 530-919-6929.

Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program

Program to help pregnant women, new moms, and young children get the nutrition they need.

California Children's Services (CCS) and Medical Therapy Program (MTP)

California's Children Services is a state program for children aged 21 and under to get them the medical services they need. This includes a network of doctors and healthcare providers as well as medical therapy for children requiring physical therapy, occupational therapy and more.

Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP)

We are committed to ensuring that our children are safe from lead. The CLPPP helps parents be aware of potential lead dangers in their child's environment and provides education about lead-free alternatives. We also provide case management services for lead burdened children.

Health Care Program for Children in Foster Care (Health Passport)

The Health Passport program gives children in foster care access to Public Health Nurses. These registered nurses provide consultation, oversight, and management of the medical, dental, behavioral, and developmental needs of youth in out-of-home placement.
